Frequently asked questions

Straight answers about how I work, what it costs, and what to expect.

What services do you offer?

My core service is monthly bookkeeping: categorizing transactions, reconciling your bank, credit card, and loan accounts, and delivering monthly financial statements.

I also offer customer invoicing, vendor bill pay, recording payroll from your payroll provider, 1099 contractor tracking, accounting software setup, and catch-up work for books that are behind. I don’t run payroll or prepare tax returns.

How much do you charge for your bookkeeping services?

I charge a flat monthly fee based on your transaction volume, number of accounts, and the services you need. Monthly bookkeeping starts at $350.00 per month. Setup and catch-up work are billed as a one-time fee.

How can your bookkeeping services benefit my business?

Your books stay accurate and up to date, so you always know where your cash stands and how your business is performing. Tax time goes smoothly because your tax preparer gets clean, reconciled numbers. And you get your time back to focus on running the business.

How do you ensure the confidentiality and security of my financial information?

I work in secure, cloud-based accounting platforms and use accountant or user access instead of your personal logins. I never ask for passwords or sensitive documents over email. As a licensed CPA, I’m also bound by professional rules that require me to keep client information confidential.

Can you help with tax preparation and filing?

I don’t prepare or file tax returns. My focus is keeping your books tax-ready all year. I work directly with your tax preparer and provide the year-end reports they need, so quarterly estimates and annual filings go smoothly.

What industries do you specialize in for bookkeeping?

I work with small businesses and nonprofits across many industries, including professional services, education and tutoring, real estate, and nonprofit organizations. If you’re not sure whether I’m a fit, reach out and we’ll talk it through.

What information do you need from me to start?

To get started, I’ll typically need access to your accounting software (or I’ll set it up), recent bank, credit card, and loan statements, reports from your payroll provider if you have employees, and your most recent tax return or financial statements. I’ll send a simple checklist after our first call.

Can you help me set up a bookkeeping system for my new business?

Yes. I’ll help you choose accounting software, build a chart of accounts that fits your business, connect your bank and credit card feeds, and set up invoicing if you need it. That way your books are organized from day one.

I’m behind on my bookkeeping. Can you clean up my books?

Yes. I’ll catch up your books month by month, reconcile every account, and fix errors along the way. Catch-up work is a one-time fee based on how many months are behind, and once you’re current, we move to regular monthly bookkeeping.
