About Me

I was born and raised in Sacramento, California, and graduated from Jesuit High School in 2012. I later graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara, where I earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Accounting.

After university, I moved to San Francisco to begin my career at Ernst & Young (EY), one of the Big Four accounting firms. As an auditor, I quickly built a strong foundation in accounting, financial reporting, and internal controls. During my time at EY, I was a member of the audit teams for Castlight Health and Okta, Inc. — gaining valuable experience working with high-growth, publicly traded companies.

After two years at Ernst & Young, I joined Tray.ai, a software startup that develops an AI-powered integration and workflow automation platform. Transitioning from public accounting into the Bay Area startup ecosystem gave me a firsthand look at the challenges of scaling a venture-backed software company. My four years there deepened my understanding of how accounting supports strategic decision-making in a fast-paced, high-growth environment. I then joined the accounting team at GoFundMe, where I gained extensive experience managing high-volume transactional data and the complexities of payment processing and financial operations at scale. This broadened my perspective beyond traditional accounting and helped me develop a practical, systems-oriented approach to solving financial challenges.

With experience spanning public accounting, venture-backed startups, and large technology companies, I decided to start my own firm with a simple goal: to provide small and medium-sized business owners with the level of financial support and expertise typically available only to larger organizations.

While I enjoyed working for large corporations, I discovered that I found the greatest fulfillment partnering directly with entrepreneurs. Building a successful business requires wearing countless hats, and bookkeeping and financial reporting often fall to the bottom of the priority list. When I first launched my firm and began meeting with business owners, I quickly realized that many shared the same challenges: outdated books, uncertainty around cash flow, and unexpected tax obligations. These financial concerns often created unnecessary stress and made it more difficult for them to focus on growing their businesses.

My goal is to remove that burden. I believe business owners should be able to focus on serving their customers and grow their companies with confidence, knowing their financials are accurate, up to date, and providing meaningful insight. I strive to become a trusted financial partner who helps clients understand their numbers, make informed decisions, and build stronger businesses. Watching my clients gain clarity, confidence, and peace of mind is the most rewarding part of what I do!

When I'm not serving my clients, I enjoy spending time with my wife, Arianna, and our young son, Aven. Outside of work, you'll usually find me surfing along the San Diego coast or training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Both hobbies keep me active and continually remind me of the value of patience, discipline, and lifelong learning - qualities I strive to bring to both my personal life and my work with clients.
